How Many Calories With Bistro MD?

With the Bistro MD plan, you’ll be consuming approximately 1100 to 1500 calories per day. This may be less than what you’re currently consuming but the food on the Bistro MD plan is designed to be both filling and satisfying. On this plan, you’ll be consuming foods that are high in fiber. One of the many wonderful properties of fiber is that it absorbs water, so while it’s in your stomach, it will give you a feeling of fullness.

In addition, fiber decreases fat absorption, which means you absorb fewer calories. It will also regulate your bowel movements, easing constipation. After your body has time to get accustomed to a lower calorie diet, it will become easier for you to avoid cravings. In that way, you won’t find yourself consuming the kind of empty calories that are found in snack foods, such as cakes, cookies and potato chips.
