What You Need To Know About Energy Drinks

More and more peoples have begun taking energy drinks, in so believing that this might help them gain more energy to pull through the day. However many of those same peoples have no idea of the actual amount of caffeine is contained in one of these drinks.

It is easy to believe that there is nothing dangerous or questionable about these drinks since they are easily acquired over the counter. Also since there is little mention on their labels about their contents. But the truth is that that they contain exaggerated amounts of caffeine. Enough to cause serious health complications.

Especially for those of whom already have health problems. The FDA does not regulate the amounts of caffeine added to these drinks. They are not even required to inform the consumers in their labels and this is because they are considered dietary supplements.

On the other hand, most pop drinks and other beverages are required to indicate these facts on their labels. Coffee as with energy drinks is also not required to mention their content either with of course sparks controversy. In one can, or even in one mini bottle of these "energy" drinks can contain anywhere from the equivalent to fourteen cans of soda pop up to an entire brew of coffee. Some have tried to explain how it could be the B vitamins that gives one this "boost".

Most agree however that this has nothing to do with it. Some peoples end up avoiding these beverages all together as they can cause symptoms such as high blood pressure, dizziness, nausea, tremors and vomiting, other may simple fall asleep. This is due to the extremely large amount of caffeine. Which most companies neglect to warn the consumers about as well as the possible side effects. Peoples of every age now are drinking these.

From both men and women to teenagers all around. Some of which already have learning disabilities such as ADHD. (Of whom should be especially aware when consuming these). This is why it is crucial to understand that caffeine is a drug. One can even become addicted to is as with any other known drug. If you have tried one of these, you might already know that you do seem to experience an initial burst of energy when first consume.

You will than begin experiencing a drop in energy. Lacking more than when you first consumed the drink. Peoples have even started mixing alcohol with energy drinks, and have even become a way of life for some in a never ending cycle of energy highs and lows. The very truth is, with enough rest and a healthy diet you can have enough if not more energy to get you through the days. So next time your feeling low and you pick up any one of these drinks, remember to check the caffeine content and maybe not even find one.
